What is the difference between Carbon and Stainless Steel blades?
Carbon steel blades are known for their exceptional sharpness and ease of sharpening but require regular oiling to prevent rust. Stainless steel blades are resistant to corrosion and require less maintenance, making them ideal for outdoor and kitchen use.
How should I clean and maintain my Opinel knife?
We recommend hand-washing your knives with warm water and a mild detergent. Avoid the dishwasher as high heat and moisture can damage the wooden handle. For carbon blades, apply a light coat of food-grade oil after drying.
What is your shipping policy for domestic orders?
We offer standard shipping across the country with delivery typically taking 3-5 business days. Orders over $50 qualify for free shipping. You will receive a tracking number via email once your order has been dispatched.
Do you offer a warranty on your products?
Yes, all Opinel products are backed by a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. This does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, or unauthorized modifications.
Can I return my order if I am not satisfied?
We accept returns of unused products in their original packaging within 30 days of purchase. Please contact our customer support team to initiate a return authorization and receive instructions.
Are Opinel knives safe to carry?
Most of our folding knives feature the Virobloc safety ring, which allows the user to lock the blade in both the open position for use and the closed position for safe transport.
